Ministers & Money: A Research Project for Completion of a Master's in Biblical Studies Thesis
Ministers' financial well-being is an important but often overlooked part of sustainable ministry, and understanding the financial realities ministers and their families face can help the church develop more effective approaches to ministerial compensation, benefits, and long-term financial support. This research project will explore the current state of financial well-being among Restoration Movement ministers and the factors that most significantly contribute to their financial health or strain.
Thank you for your interest and involvement in this project! Your real-world input will greatly help me as I compile research to complete my master's degree at Sunset International Bible Institute. Any Information you are willing to share is anonymous and valuable to this project.

Hi, I'm Harold
I am the Senior Minister at the Blue Starr Church of Christ in Claremore, OK, and I am concluding my work for a masters Degree in Congregational Ministry from SIBI. I have been in full-time ministry since 2016 and have served as a paid minister in Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma.
I grew up in rural Montana, where the body of Christ is small and persistent. This allowed me to have great involvement in the church from a young age, and I also saw the diligent effort that is given to maintain healthy church finances. I have observed that the care given to the financial well-being of the church is not always given to those ministering to the church, and this project serves as a launching point to help us better know and care for the financial well-being of our ministers.
